Hi everybody! I hope everyone had a safe and blessed new year, I know I did :) You gotta love these after Christmas sales everyone has!! I found some goodies and came up with a new project. I have seen several yarn wreaths lately and thought I should try it out. I thought it would look cool on this wreath from the Dollar Tree vs a smooth surface one. I also got the yarn at JoAnn Fabrics for a whopping 50 cents :) I bought the "S" (for Simon) from Pat Catans for $1.97 and already had the Espresso Americana paint and the scrapbook paper (Ensemble-EPOQUE WORDS) on hand. I started by wrapping the wreath with the yarn...which might I add took forever :) Once finished I glued the final strand on with some tacky glue. I then painted the outside of the "S" espresso brown and traced/cut the paper to fit the front. I have yet to hang it up but I thought it was so cute that I just wanted to show everyone :) I will post some more pics once I find the perfect spot for it. Soooo, what do you think? (To hang the "S" and the wreath I added a creme colored ribbon tacked AND carpet taped to the wood.)
