Olivia Benay Turns 5 Today :)
I cannot believe she is 5. How fast time flies! I remember bringing her home from the hospital like it was yesterday. My sweet baby girl. She is turning into such a beautiful person too. She is caring, generous and most of all... nurturing. She will cover me up when I am cold or hurry and grab my shoes for me if we are leaving...or take my plate to the sink as soon as I finish. She is such an awesome little girl and today she is 5 years old. ( I do this everytime of my children's birthdays come up. Reminisce. Or I like to look at it....cherish my memories.) I am so proud of who she is becoming and am posting this to wish my Shug-a-Shug a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY! (she loves to look at mama's blog)

Unique Centerpieces
During our recent trip to Home Depot I picked up some floor samples. I originally thought they would look awesome as coasters but this morning I got the bright idea to piece them together and use them as "doilies" I guess you would say. Our living room is in different coordinating browns so this fits right in. I also snapped shots of other various end tables to give you a feel of how I decorate. Feel free to give your opinion or let me know if I am pushing it with this one :)

Scrabble Crossword/Dominoes
When my son brought home this game from a yard sale I thought it looked kind of weird. Maybe a knock off? When I researched it I found that it is authentic but that was last summer and I researched it today. Well we definitely put the game to good use but unfortunately in the process of moving and it belonging to my 10 yr old, we lost a significant amount of tiles. Since the tiles are now either going to be thrown out or lost I thought I should find something cool to do with them. I am sure you all have seen some sort of seasonal blocks where you can just turn the block for new letters, right? Well I used these tiles to make the 7 block edition. I also added the tiles to my DIY dry erase frame. I am sure I will come up with other projects but for now these will do :)
